Same subject being discussed this week, elsewhere on this site. baseballfanz says it is stuck until you remove with a computer, this contradicts what used to be said a year ago, but apparently true.
Yes there has been conflicting report on this. I have since learned the timing advance is located in the Eprom section of the ECU, it will not change unless you change it with the Consult or Cipher (or similar software). The timing advance will be lost if the dealer should ever reflash your ECU with new/updated file.
