Re-Reg Fee *sigh*

Well, good news is they approved me cashing out eight days vacation, bad news is it's just to re-register my new truck...might not even be enough money Lol $650 - $800 (or more).

My Continental tires have about 7K miles on them and they look like they're almost bald. I'm used to BFGs that last 2 1/2 years...

Holy Crap! Registration is like $60 here... are you talking about taxes for buying a new one or something?

I do miss a snowmobile ride on a 20° Sunday morning though.. and the occasional pickup hockey game at the outdoor rink.

Same thing in MS. One of my co-workers pays roughly $1200 in registration for his 2008 Titan and newer Jeep. Cost is based on value of the vehicle.
Registration fees are high here in AZ but Property taxes are not.
NC rapes you on state income tax.
Cars, trucks and bikes aren't too bad.
Property tax and insurance are cheaper than when I lived in FL.
Government has to steal your money somehow to give it to the less fortunate with five kids and no job...
But Good News - Hillary will take even more to enlarge government and kill the rest of the small businesses.
When I lose my job, I hope I can get the free cell phone and electricity which they are promising.
You guys who still have jobs can pay my way. I guess I can get used to government cheese.
God! I hate those dang 1%ers who create American jobs and struggle to keep the economy thriving...
Can somebody post up the Meth recipe? I hear I can cook some up and make additional $$$.

/Rant - Sorry.

Finally a state that screws you more than CA haha. My reg on a 3 year old truck is $430 and I thought that was excessive.

LOL right?? My now-12 year old Xterra ran me $125 every year, no matter how many miles I put on it, etc. I will HATE forking over $600 to $800 :(
Washington used to be that way with registration fee based on the value of the truck but we voted for $30 tabs. However, the state has managed to increase it over the past few years with various fees. Now we have a fee for state parks that you have to opt out of, weight tax, new plates every couple years....and so on. I recently registered my burban and it was around $88.
That's insane. I pay about $60/yr for the truck and about $30/yr for the motorbike.

Relo'ed from upstate NY to Texas 5 years ago for a job change. Reg fees for car or truck are about $70 here. NO STATE INCOME TAX! But, let's not talk about real estate tax. About the same as NY, which is out of bounds. Cost of living is a win. We're currently paying less than 2 a gallon for gas or diesel. And, I hear it's now a misdemeanor to smile in NY... not going back!

I had to get new tags here in WA this week. I had to pay $101 dollars and I was complaining about that, because I only had to pay $70-ish in TX when I would renew there. $600 to $800 bones is pretty steep.
