Got my rear bumper step today and the install was OK 3 bolt.it come very close to the bumper and i don't like it..so went up an did some reading and find out that a spacer is missing from the kit they Nissan updated the kit but i got the old one so i will have to fabricate and spacer 'not a big deal for me' so the fitment come to what it suppose to be..so if you buy and nissan 999t7-w4800 just make sure that in the box they have that spacer i think the part is now nissan 999t7-w4828

I had the same problem with the step resting on the bottom of the bumper. I went back to the Nissan dealer and they gave me the spacer. It's basically a steel block with two holes drilled in it.
Went to and dealer an looked at the step on 2 truck one XD one regular 1/2 ton
the XD don't need that spacer as the bumper and hitch is not the same as on 1/2 Titan.

So, they may have originally given me the kit from an XD. Interesting. Even with the spacer, it's still doesn't look like a well finished application. The step is level when deployed, but it sits kinda wonky when stowed. But it is handy.

Yeah I had same issue. Took back to dealer and they installed spacer for me. Its not as tight as it was with some wobble. Comes out level but looks unfinished stowed away. Not much clearance lost at all. Overall its the only option so if you need one its worth it.

The step is by Amp Research, they've been making these for the Titans for awhile now. I got one on my 2013 and mine sits the same when stowed, but I don't find it to be that obvious as it isn't really that noticeable when stowed. You are just more sensitive to it since you know it's there, but most people don't even seem to notice it until I flip it down.

Yeah I have the lock actuator and I don't know how I lived without LOL! Sooooo worth it. And on the chrome exhaust tip I went aftermarket as I'm not crazy about the look and quality of the factory 3"-3" bolt on. I wound up going with a Gibson 3"-3.5" stainless exhaust tip bolt-on w/ a slant cut. Just looks a lot meaner IMO for a similar price point.
Gibson Performance Exhaust - Stainless Single Wall Angle Exhaust Tip #500360

I can take an actual pic of it if interested.

I just installed mine yesterday and discovered that this piece was missing from my kit so i had to fabricate one out of washers to get the proper fit.
