Rear Ceiling Console - Removal

6588 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Pennz
I was replacing the lights in the upper rear console of my fiance's 2004 Titan and one of the lights brackets popped up into the rear console itself and is loose between the housing and the ceiling of the Titan. I took the two visible screws out and that definitely loosed the console up considerably but there is a clip or connector or something holding the rear in place and preventing the front from dropping down. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can safely and without breaking any of the console or its parts remove it so I can get the light in the connector and the connector back into the console? This has been driving me nuts all week.

The rear console I am talking about is on the ceiling in this image.

Alright, the panel I was trying to remove is held on up front by a U bracket, you have to push the plastic housing up and to the rear and let it down, it will, if done right allow the front of the housing to to come off the U bracket that's holding it in place. The rear is secured with clips, I had no need to remove those as I could reach the lights without removing those clips.

Exact same thing happened to me.

Thank you.
