Hello! My husband and I are getting ready to go on a road trip, and wanted to do some maintenance on the truck. I'm trying to be helpful and do some research in advance while my husband is at work... but am having the hardest time figuring out the exact oil/fluid and quantity that we're going to need for the Rear Differential, Front Differential, and Transfer Case. I read through a lot of forum posts.
Can someone confirm or deny my notes below?
Also, any tips/tricks you have would be appreciated!
Vehicle: 2006 Nissan Titan LE Crew Cab 4WD Automatic
Front Differential:
Oil: 80W-90
Quantity: 3.4 pints (2 quarts)
Notes: A lot of people are recommending Amsoil.
Rear Differential:
Oil: 75W-140 synthetic
Quantity: 4.4 pints (3 quarts)
Notes: A lot of people are recommending Amsoil.
Transfer Case:
Oil: Genuine Nissan Matic D ATF or DEXRON III or MERCON
Quantity: 4.2 pints (3 quarts)
Notes: Some people are recommending Royal Purple Max ATF?
