2015 Titan with Rockford Fosgate stereo..seems to be substantially less output from the rear speakers. Even when fading all the way to the rear..the volume seems very low? Is this common? Many vehicles i've had over the years had a well balanced volume from front and rear..in the Titan..my riders in the back always complain that it's too low..even when blasting in the front!

In my 2017, without Rockford, when you fade all the way to the rear the volume all but goes silent. I've never had that before. In fact I normally ride with a rear bias in other vehicles. I was thinking maybe a rear subwoofer is in order.

it is common. it is about the philosophy of what sound should sound like.
in a home stereo set up there is sound from the front, and only echoes or 'ambiance' from the back. that is to seem like the same as if you were at a concert or theater. audiophiles talk about 'imaging'. if you were sitting at a concert, most of the sound would come from the front.
sometimes other oems don't care about imaging. instead the listener is 'immersed' in the sound. as if they were wearing headphones.
but nissan is doing eq tuning that gives the best image and stage presence for the driver.
it's not a defect, it's preference.
