i'm gonna risk hanging a musket (i'll plug the ignition hole) or a yew long bow on my titan's rear window, but where do i buy such a rack? (i'd hate to drill to the new truck to fix up a homemade rack). :teethmast

i wonder if hanging a long gun will provoke a pot shot by one of them Oakland 'spunk gansters? (yes i am pararnoid, can you tell? but i'm a happy 'optimistic paranoid') :gunz:

Yes, I live in Texas but back in the late 70's and early 80's guys had gun racks with guns in them at school and no we had no shootings. I guess everybody either had more sense then or figured somebody else might shoot them if they pulled such a stunt. Nowdays you bring a small nail-clipper to school and your suspended for the year.
Whatever happened to whap-pow----yow! I won't do it again!

O.K. back to window rack discussion.

bow rack's better

yup, that could be true.
it woundn't be the 1st time some local cop overeacts (CHP's pretty fair) and shove their cold barrel toward my face: is not a nice feelin' (not being able to shoot back, that is). :bandit:
i'll just put up a spare (traditional) bow.
like archery better anyhow

I'm a gun owning hunter from New England and I hear all kinds of things about how lefty it is in Berkley. I find it awesome that you a) drive a big old gas guzzling beast of a truck and b) want to hang a gun rack in the rear window.

That rocks!

Speaking of gun racks...

Any of you guys have a preferred way for carrying a concealed handgun (legally of course) in your Titan? I know the captains chair version has that deep center console - are there aftermarket car holsters that could be mounted in there? Are there any aftermarket mounts for under the seat? I had my concealed carry permit in Oregon, but not yet in Texas - hopefully soon.

Thanks,
Justin

I've got my concealed carry permit and when I get my Titan, I'll keep it in the center console while I'm in the vehicle. I'll probably keep my registration and insurance info in another area so as to not have to reach past my gun if pulled over. Although, it's probably a good idea to inform a police officer that you've got a permit to carry when you are pulled over in order to avoid any surprises. On a side note....I highly recommend not leaving your gun in the vehicle when not in it.

ccp concealed carry permit

what's the likely hood of me (got no felonies nor misdeameanors charged nor convicted) being granted such a permit (for my springfield lightweight gov't model .45) by the berkeley city chief of police?
answer: when hell freezes over or when i'm a well connected phat politico cat like Willie Brown (San Francisco ex-mayor) or some federal judge.

just the price to "pay" for living in such a great and diverse (geography & cultural) place, i guess.
