We've rebuilt the engine of my 04 Titan. It's all back in now but it won't start. The engine turns over but it's slow. I've put a new battery in, new cables, I've done the IPDM test and it checks out ok. When I turn the key the battery gauge goes down to nothing and it turns over like the battery is dead. The battery is new and fully charged. It does that even with jumper cables on. I've checked all the grounds and can't find any missing. Any suggestions would be great

I'm getting plenty of fuel. After putting new battery and cables in. The negative on the starter got so hot it burned out. I'm going to replace the starter and maybe at more grounds and see how that goes. Has anyone had any luck with the cheaper starters online or do I have to go oem?

If the Negative got hot, maybe the cables are installed wrong. Review each cable individually to be certain you do not have polarity backwards somewhere or simply have the Starter wired wrong. Grounds don't normally get "hot".

No need to add more grounds if you have the OEM and they are good. Don't cover up the problem by slapping more parts on it.

What did you do to "rebuild" your engine?
