Looking at a loaded XD Pro-4X with an MSRP OF $58320. Got them down around $44778 + TTL, with no trade.
Should I expect to do better?

With that said, I really prefer the regular (non XD), but can't justify paying the same price, or more, for 'less truck's on paper. Any input?

Thanks

The XD diesels are being discounted $12/14k off. Without you specifying your needs is hard to say (towing etc)? Personally for me the XD (gas) is the better choice for hauling, towing and it will accept a snow plow. I also prefer the 6.5' bed vs the 5.5. You also need to consider long term maintenance costs of gas vs diesel. The diesel costs more for fuel and def. Refuling diesel is dirty and smells awful on hands and clothes. Fuel filters need to be changed w/oil change intervals. Oil changes cost more because of the higher oil capacity. Your fuel MPG's on the diesel are not going to be much better than the gasser. How long do you normally keep your trucks? If it's less than five years, the diesel isn't worth it. There is also the argument of resale value. The 3/4 ton used diesel market pulls some ridiculous resale values even in high mileage trucks. It's to early to tell if the Nissan Cummins will fall into that same category? Apples to apples, the diesel is the better value if indeed you truly need a diesel for its intended purposes. Hope this helps. Good luck!

The XD is my 5th Nissan from this dealer in 5 years and I finally have something I am completely happy with 100%. Wanted a Titan back in 2012 but it was not affordable for me so ended up in a frontier. traded that for a rogue, traded the rogue for a another rogue, then finally got a Titan SV but wasn't completely happy because i cheap'd out and passed on a Pro4x or SL with leather. Told my salesmen back in august after test driving a SL Cummins that when the incentives picked up let me know. I sat back and watched incentives for months till they hit 14k including dealership discount. My salesmen call and said they are offering a extra 2k on top of the 14k for one to one rewards customers. I threw some random numbers that I didn't think they could achieve. Got a call about noon accepting my offer. My local dealership is top notch, both sales and service depts go above and beyond.

Just purchased a new 2016 XD Platinum Reserve in blue. No trade in (sold my 2004 SE Crew Cab on "Craigslist"). I was offered over $16K off MSRP (MSRP $62K+, purchase $45,999). For less than $3K more than a Black Ed. Ridgeline I was considering, I got a real truck. Not driven much, but so far I like it a TON! (Apparently there was a $10K incentive from Nissan and an additional $1K for President's Day...don't know where the other $5K came from.) Walser Nissan in Burnsville, MN. (Because I tend to keep my vehicles for a long term, I got the extended warranty with it, but that did not have an impact on the truck price either way.)
