Hello,

I recently inherited a 2007 Crew Cab but I can't figure out the setup in the bed of the truck. The link below is to a Dropbox folder containing four photos of the setup.

Dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/oof6t6mluuiqpyk/AACR1pn56VGBnL0G0lYJVQAAa?dl=0

In photo 2, in addition to the cage elements, the rubber strips seen in the floor cover metal strips identical to those that run around the perimeter, such as seen in photo 1.

Photo 3 shows the end of one of the cage elements (primarily seen in photo 2).

Photo 4 shows a movable hook attached to the perimeter metal strips that is currently near the rear of the bed.

Questions:

Do the metal cage elements attach to the metal strips that go around the perimeter or are they completely separate?

Is this setup part of something larger, i.e. am I missing parts?

Thank you for any help.

Best,
Eric

you have what nissan calls the "utilitrack" system. it is a tiedown system that in integrated into the bed of the truck.

the cage looking parts are called a bed extender. they allow you to run the tailgate down for longer material and still have a backstop. for some reason you have two of them

you also may have some of these somewhere in the truck.

these are tie down points that are able to be moved around the rails for optimal tie down locations.

one of those bed extender cages should fit the large hooks you have like so

it is able to be flipped in to close the tailgate or out to extend the bed box area.

the tie downs are called cleats. they are installed by loosening the wheel, and inserting at a 90deg angle. then turned to align with the rail and the wheel is tightened down.

Looks like you have 2 bed extenders. Hook up to the attachments at the ends of you utilitrack to extend over a dropped tailgate or you can slide them forward to contain cargo.

there are other accessories available as well.

bed divider
over head racks
bike tie down points
and if your DYI you can fab up your own from spring nuts that are used in electrical conduit racks.
