When I look at my stock 07 Chrome Wheels, it sure looks like they are Plastic Chrome Covers which can be removed.

Has anyone taken the Chrome Covers off of the Stock wheels? The reason I am asking is that I am thinking about powder coating the wheels Satin Black.

I drove the truck over to the local powder coating shop, and they also "feel" the chrome is a plastic cover.

If I can get the darn things off, without screwing up the chrome or the wheel, it's possible that I can get the best of both worlds. Powder Coated alloy wheels and Chrome covers for re-sale time.

At least till the funds arrive for a set of 20" KMC XD Spy's
