I don't have kids, or sit in the back ever, plus I replaced the factory RF unit with a Pioneer DVD today, so I'm wanting to remove the factory DVD unit and overhead screen. Has anyone done this? Is it pretty straightforward? Will the roof look weird if I take the screen out? Would I need to swap headliners? I tried searching, didn't really find any posts of people doing this. Thanks in advance for any and all help!

You can order the overhead with a pocket. Otherwise I'd leave it

Could you hook the screen up to your new head unit? Would be a good option and maintain some resale value for later on.

As for the DVD player in the console, I suspect you'll need to source the non-DVD console insert and beyond that, figure out the process for getting the player out. I'm betting there's a how-to somewhere on a forum (perhaps this one) or youtube or some such for removing the console liner. Might be something you could glean from the thread here on changing from a bench seat to buckets and console. Would be at least a starting point. Check courtesyparts for the new OEM changeout pieces.
