These are by far the hardest lights to replace without breaking something. You will need to remove the lens cover gently and slowly. Then use whatever you want to remove the bad bulb. It's kinda like playing that game Operation.

For all your bulb needs try here www.sylvania.com
does the white lens pop out or do I have to drop the grey housing and go in from behind....I dont see anyway to pop the white lens cover out.
Once again BB is on top of the pile.......
Here to help.... Now, gimme back my ring!
I'm sure I'm stupid......but that video wasn't even close to how hard those things were to get off in my truck!!!! Hopefully yours wont break like mine did!!!!!
poped it off and had the bulbs replaced and back togather in abount 10 minutes......

anyone know a good place to get the LED lights for the interior.
i am also trying to replace the map lights. i've got the 2004 titan. upper console is one unit. does the lens cover come off or do i need to take the WHOLE console off?????? got the bulbs from dealer...

Go back up to post #4 and watch the video.

I tried poping mine out. Interesting that the video starts with the lens being easily removed. Mine was not that easy and I removed the entire console to prevent breaking the lens. Good luck which ever way you decide to go. :ftard:

LOL, the service manual actually have you removing the whole console.
Nissan considers that "wrenching experience"...

Yeah, I couldn't help but notice that also.....and on the re-insert, it's backwards, not reversed???? With the tapered end going up and over to the side, first, to allow for the flat lip to slide up and in.....
I watched the video, it is not really clear on how to remove the map light covers, so the map light covers need to the pried out from the center or from the ends?
That video took a LOT of shortcuts or they have very weak connectors. My front map lights were tricky to remove and a PITA to put back in. I thought for sure I was going to break them.
Sorry, I should have also posted that your instructions over at MT (referenced in a different thread) were much more helpful than the video.

So what is the trick to getting the lamp covers back in? I resorted to brute force. Maybe I should have greased them up?
I just snapped it back in.:D
