Removing parts from the suspension lift?

Edit: Added pictures to assist questions. (Post #4, Post #8)

I know its my first post, but I've been bouncing around here for a while and figured I'd ask this question. I just got my truck lifted, and I'm not a big fan of the block and coil spacer. With the current front cross member and stabilizer bars as well as sway links.... Could I remove the rear block to replace with a smaller one as well as remove the coil spacer and keep the front coil to bucket original? Would this screw something up by accident? (Rough Country 6" lift)

I also get a slight vibration from 20-55MPH. Feels like the wheels... but I'm not completely sure at this point. Should I be worried about my drive shaft as well?

I also have kept the stock 6 spoke rims on with the stock 265s on it and last night while trying to perform a U-turn I heard some rub. I do believe my front tire was coming over a dip which almost left the ground. I don't like that I kept the tires and rims stock but get left with contact.

Any help would be grand at this point. I'd go with the block from PRG if I could get away with removing the coil spacer.

Thanks for reading and posting!:redblob"

The front cross member allows for that front spacer to drop the LCA down while trying to keep the contact minimal. Removing the back block for a smaller wouldn't be a problem at all, and maybe you could compensate in the front with a smaller spacer from PRG...but you're not going to keep the lift you originally had. As far as the driveshaft goes, any lift over 4" in the back (if I recall correctly) recommends a driveshaft spacer for 4WD or a CBDB for 2WD.

Depending on what height you want, you may want to consider pulling the whole lift off and sell then with the funds pick up a mini lift.
no driveshaft spacer needed for a 4x4

As you can see in this photo... Its sittin high. Higher than I thought it would. I'm fine with it I guess but I don't like the front sitting so high. I guess I'm picky... But its my money so I'd like it the way I want it.

I'd like to lose the large spacer and I don't mind if I lose the height. I wanted more than what the mini lift offered. I wanted the Rancho but kept having the peer pressure and want to "go big or go home." So this is what I picked up.

I still have the old knuckles, but I don't know if I'd be able to swap the knuckles and keep the cross member and get PRG Control Arms to help out the travel. I know I'm kinda all over the place but can ya blame me on July 4th? :bouncy:

Humongous Spacer...

Humongous rear block. I'd like to see If I could pick up the deaver leaf pack in the future to replace. I do believe that would get me enough in the rear so that I don't need a block but still have some rake if I go ahead and modify the front by replacing the spacers.

Idk if you're against this or not but why don't you want some bigger tires on there? The front is going to look a little off no matter how much lift you add if you still have the stock tires. Mine looked weird with just my 4" cst spindles when I had to leave stock tires for a while until I could afford new tires. If you're open to trying new tires I would go that route rather then trying to swap out all kinds of suspension parts trying to take some lift out when you prob still wont be happy with the way the front looks. here is mine with 4" cst spindles and stock tires.

That goofy spacer mounted to the top of your front shock is junk....and you still have stock front shocks?....
In the first picture the front end looks odd to me... It looks like the front tires are push back instead of forward like they normally are with a lift... Could be the angle of the picture or the wheels might be slightly turned but it looks like they are way too far back and close to the mudflaps.

Slightly bigger tires yes, huge spacer... no. I didn't think the height of lift would be so high for just the advertised "6 inches." I would be more happy with 4-5... Refer to my next quote for my full opinion that I request assistance with.

Yeah.... I would like to get a different set just waiting on the funding... but anyway, I 'm curious to whether or not the aftermarket coil-over shocks are longer than that of the stock length. I figured I'd combine the TC UCAs or PRG UCAs with the shocks for better suspension.

That is with the wheel as straight as possible.

Same wheel turned as far left as possible.

Same wheel turned as far right as possible.

Those pictures look a lot more normal than the first ones. I don't see where you would getting the rubbing from though.. Specially with a stock size tire. but the coilovers specially made for bracket lifted trucks will completely replace the whole spacer/coilover setup you have now. It will just be one big coilover.

Excellence. I do appreciate your quick reply. I've been looking through coil-overs for a while and studying PRG's site. Not sure what I might go to but I don't think I'll take an expensive route considering this isn't the ultimate truck for me currently. I'll have another that I'll put all the high quality stuff on.

So I've read also that the coil-overs are adjustable for spring load as well(height)? So basically... I'll order the coil-overs, UCAs if they are longer/extended giving me more room between the knuckle and coil bucket, as well as the rear Deaver pack with maybe one of PRG's small billet blocks for the rear to keep the small amount of rake while keeping the RC components(Cross member, extended knuckles, sway links, etc.) for keeping it 3.75+ inches in lift. (Yes, run-on sentence. lol.)
