Is this in the non-patchable zone, or just outside?

I'm in agreement with the others, no patch. An inside patch might hold for a while but there is too much flex in that tire portion for a long term repair. May as well replace the tire and be done with it.

Chunk it and get a new one. Most tire places wouldn't even think twice about trying to fix that.

patch won't hold but a plug will.. i drove my front left tire 2k miles with patch and it popped but the plug held till the tire was toast...the hole in mine was much larger.. if you do fix it put it in the rear.

It's a winter tire, so I have time let it sit there and pi$$ me off for a while. Don't know how it happened, but I got home from work and thought, hey, this is a great day to change the oil and get the summer tires on, and then I went to take this off, and was like WHAT THE F. There is a huge amount of construction on my commute, so that is what I blame.

Thanks for the attention everyone.
