Well here it is finally after a few weeks of waiting.

I decided to go ahead and install the RP-Performance stage 2 E-fan kit today and with great results.

First off let me thank Ryan for making such a great product, the quality alone is amazing and the SPAL fans and complete kit itself is a great investment for the Titan.

I'm running OEM Radiator (bypassed internal trans cooler) and 170* T-stat.

PRE-Install with clutch fan, i'd normally see 183-184* in cold conditions or even dead of florida summer with A/C.

Now...

E-fan controller set at 185*

After a quick 10 min drive after letting it warm up:

Ambient temp was 58*.

While crusing at 45-50mph monitoring via Cipher, lowest temp was 177.8*

The hottest temp was after the 10min drive and let idle for 12-15min with hood shut was 192.2*

The fans would then come on to a certain speed for maybe 3-4sec and temp would stay around 188.6.

So this E-Fan kit will keep the engine temps withing 1-1.5deg of controller temp setting. AWESOME! i can live with that!

Now, some recommendations:

I'd def recommend whether going with a Koyo/CSF/Stock radiators to keep your stock T-stat when using these E-fans.

Other wise you will def get to or below 176.2* when driving in 30-40* weather. Its up to you though.

Lastly, the only one addition i would make to this kit is a clamp/bracket fit onto the RP-Perf E-fan shroud on passenger side to secure the metal transmission cooler line.

Other than that it was an easy install maybe 1.5-2hrs. The only reason it took that long is the stupid stock clutch fan bolts will easily round off. So be careful, use some PB blaster to help out.

Installation....

The removal is self explanatory, after removing CAI, you have two bolts holding the factory shroud up top. I unbolted clutch fan and removed fan and shroud at same time.

Drain about half a gallon of fluid from the bottom of radiator, its a 3/4in plug.

Open radiator cap to see if its dropped below top radiator hose level and remove the hose.

Also remove the overflow hose from resevoir tank to radiator neck.

After that, everything comes out and just reinstall.

The Red is power/ Black is ground to the battery, the BROWN wire (fusible link) goes between + battery terminal and power wire. The 4 supplied allen bolts go into factory clutch fan threads in WP pulley.

NOTE!: Had to modify/trim the lower flap near A?C compressor about an inch across in order to prevent contact. All good otherwise!

Now for the pics and a quick vid of me rambling.

OEM Clutch Fan, POS hate you so much lol and you OEM bolts!!!

This pic shows all stock fan/shroud components removed. Note: The factory transmission cooler line on the passenger side (metal line). get to that in a min.

This is just showing the metal transmission line for those who are doing a Trans cooler install, just to show what it looks like and where it routes.

RP-Perf Efan supplied allen head bolts threaded into WP Pulley. Very nice addition!

Finished Installation, Top view and so on. Some may route wiring differently, but this gives an idea of tru 4in CAI distance to RP-Perf shroud.

This shows Cipher Coolant temp of after a 15min drive and idle for 10mins with hood closed. Hottest was 192.2, and the fans were actually on briefly when the temp went to 188.6. They would turn on a off to keep temps around 186-188.

And there you have it lol. I will have to do some more driving and testing to see if i feel a difference in power and the MPG gain.

I barely got on it in this test just wanted to make sure it worked and monitored temps.

Hope you guys enjoyed the simple writeup. Its def a great product!!!

VID of aforementioned results.

ENJOY! If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks!! Ryan (RP-Performance) and JOSH19K for the over the phone tips/help.

Good job and great write up! You are going to love them.

Edit- You need to go get a diode and piece of wire to temporarily kick the fans on high speed (the contoller instructions tell you how to wire it up). It will blow your hair back! The fans dont f*ck around!!!

Gonna do some more testing as the days go on to see how much a MPG increase there is. Josh19k mentioned he went from 12.5-14mpg around town, and thats a 12% increase. So i hope to follow suit and gain around the same.

That POS stock clutch fan is def a power robber. I went to turn it today sitting on the ground and wow a ton of friction and tough to turn, so there is def gonna be a noticeable power increase, how much... who knows. but a gain in MPG equates to less strain on the engine and results in increased HP. I will keep you all informed.

This is def a worthy modification and very easy to install. Just make sure even if swapping out clutch fans that you use PB blaster and a good 10mm open end wrench to get those clutch fan bolts off without rounding the heads. otherwise you'll wanna throw things lol.

Well guys I just thought I would be giving you some updates. The PWM controller that I was using will no longer be used due to undisclosed reasons but I will tell you it was not be for reliability issues, so if you already have one don't worry. The controller that I will be using will be a Derale 16789 two speed, with a screw in probe that will come with the radiator hose adapter. The good news is I can get these all day long and it is a very reputable company, in fact the five ones I ordered today will be here Tuesday the 19th supposedly. I will probably build the harness up for all the ones that my customers have been waiting on. I want you guys to know that I am a very punctial person and I had no control over the wait but from here on out I can get these out quick!

Alright guys I have two kits I can ship out next week, so spend you hard earned tax money wisely, on something that can net you fuel savings and more HP!
I made some changes to the kit, I am now using all crimp shrink terminals, that are totally water proof and a new two speed controller made by Derale part# 16789 with a screw in temp sensor, no more craming sensors in the radiator fins. I also include a radiator hose adaptor for the sensor to be installed in the upper radiator hose, the kits are now $600.00, oh and here's a video.

Here is some food for thought, my Titan runs cooler at highway speeds with RP EFans (which do not come on while moving) VS stock fan shroud and clutch assembly.

It runs 6* cooler at that.

How does the E-fan Shroud with less open area for air to pass thru provide lower engine coolant temps at speed vs the stock fan shroud/fan with a huge opening?

Went from 184-185* with stock clutch fan/shroud even in florida heat of summer and during winter, to now around 177-178* when 60* out.

Does this kit come with a full write up? I watched ur video. But still have questions, like can I pull power from the ipdm? I have access to pins from Nissan that will work. Can i wire a led to place in the dash to light up when the fans come on? As a safety letting me know they r on so to speak, will i have to wire in that trigger for the a/c? Is there a warranty. How does the alternator/ battery handle the new load? I have a 710cca nissan battery should i go bigger? Thanks
