So today I decided to take a huge chance and see just how accurate the SGII is. I had to drive over to Columbia and I left the family at home. I had about a quarter tank left when I started and was hoping I could get there and back without stopping to get gas.
When I finally started for home I had about 50 miles to drive. The SGII said I had about 70 miles left in the tank. Since I was towing a popup, it went down more quickly than normal.
When the SGII read about 40 miles left, my gas gauge hit the E line. So I said what the heII and drove on, going by the SGII.
Long story short, I made it all the way home. The needle was WAY below E and the SGII said I had about 1.5 gallons in the tank. When I filled up, I put in exactly 26.5 gallons.
Cool.
