How important is this?? Im out of state right now for work and cant get the part for a whole week. Is it ok to drive my truck still?

Also pulling the codes on these trucks with the accelerator press depress method is ridiculously hard to pull off. Has anyone figured out the trick to getting it to work everytime? By some chance it worked for me once but that was all I could get.

I use Uprev Cipher. It's a bit expensive for just pulling/clearing codes but it works every time.

Yah accelerator method is free lol
If you have an Android phone or tablet, spend about $15 and get a Bluetooth adapter off Amazon and a free code reading app. So far, its saved me buku in just two uses on my wife's Expedition (2004 with 192k on it). Funny thing is, I bought the adapter to get real-time info on my T via the Torque app, and my wife's Expy flashed the CEL for the first two times in our 12yr ownership (bought it new back in 2004) six months later. Total cost to fix the issues has been $7, so I'm out a total of $19 (I paid $12 for my adapter) on repairs which would have cost me ten times that in diagnostic fees alone.
