I had to take my truck in to the dealer today because the SES light came on the other day. I checked the gas cap and that did not fix it so in it went.

Well long story short, there is a TSB for the following codes.

P1148 - Closed Loop Bank 1
P1168 - Closed Loop Bank 2
P1031 - Air Fuel Sensor 1 Bank 1
P1051 - Air Fuel Sensor 1 Bank 2

TSB NTB04-032A - Reprogram ECU

All told, it took 30 minutes, cost me nothing and is covered for an additional 20K miles.

so, out of the blue those codes were thrown? no explanation from the tech as to what may have caused the codes to be thrown in the first place? anyone can reset the SES light (i've done it a dozen times), but knowing what caused it is more important! guess i'll have to look into that TSB

All I know is that it had something to do with the O2 sensor. I am not knowledgeable about things engine so I did not even try to understand what he was talking about. All I know is that it was fixed and the light is no longer lit.

That must be a brand new TSB then. Those codes are very important for people doing performance mods.

i had the 1148 and 1168 once on my 04. The light went out after two days and never came back on. That was about 10,000 miles ago.
