The lower shock bolt mounting holes are egged out on my lower control arms. Thinking of having a friend weld on some washers to the outer part of the "tab" and just slapping the bolt back in. There is enough thread on the other end for almost a .250" thick washer.

This is on both sides of vehicle.

The truck has 125k and a lot of rust on undercarriage (thank you Pennsylvania). I know that a LCA replacement will mean both LCA's and the camber bolts. Plus the likely issue of the camber bolts being gallded into the LCA and needing to be cut out by Sawzall or torch.

So... What does everyone think is the best option?

This all resulted from some very worn out bushings in my SAW shocks. They are leaking and in bad shape so I'm just putting the OEM shocks (with the PC 6" spacer ontop) back on, along with the swaybar. Now where is that money tree?? Lol

Well if you find that money tree, let me know because I would love some dirt king lowers. I don't think they work with stock shocks though. I think welding up something is your best option, even a plate welded on there with a hole drilled through it. I would go as thick as you can, even buy longer bolts, it's going to get some abuse.

For a while the LCA"s came like that new. Do a search, you aren't the first to have this issue.
