Just got a 2009 Titan with a suspension lift. Noticed a loud squeak when going over bumps in front passenger side. Found the shock isn't centered in the top plate and the bushing and washer are loose. I will try to post a picture. My question is can I just replace the bushing and washer to center it back up where it's supposed to be?

What shocks are you running? Looks like they installed them wrong. There is a specific order the bushings and washers need to go for them not to push through like that. It appears to be missing some hardware, but hard to tell from the picture, but it does look like that top washer is on backwards.

Looks like you have some pretty bad galling damage to the hole in the coil bucket as well. You might be better off going shock-hoops. The strut stem is likely ground in and tweaked, so that will have to go, and once you make the hole bigger, no amount of torque is gonna keep that centered, it'll keep travelling in and out of the slot it's worn in the bucket. At the very least, it looks like it needs some serious rod burned into the groove. Dunno if that could be welded up.

thats all just the rubber bushing. he just needs to remove shock, reinstall new hardware and go from there. he might be able re use the shock. Coil bucket is probably fine. I've done worse on my 2006 when i installed 5100's wrong.:devil::devil: lets just say the shock was not being used at all, i was riding on the coil spring 100% to say it was "clunky" would be an understatement.

That's what I'm going to do. I got a new bushing set and a new strut mount. I'm going to try to install it tomorrow. I've got a local guy that will compress the spring for $25. Thanks for yalls help. I will update on the results
