My truck had the engine replaced at right about 29k and I have 61k with no issues

 

The knock is a result of an oil injector valve being mis-seated on the assembly line. That should have zero impact on a manual replacement.

 

I had mine done at 15000 miles I was talking to my mechanic the other day and he ask way my truck was ticking. So I stopped in at the dealer service manager wasn't there but the parts guy said sounds like we may be replacing your engine again. Now this is just preliminary so I really don't know where we go from here. 2018 with 28000 miles on it and 3 months warranty left.

 

When are they going to scope it?

 

Will be waiting for a bit I have 3 months warranty left. See if it gets worse

 

Make sure you have a good dealer..three months warranty goes by fast,we were put through the ringer dealing with a short block replacement, only to find out later they botched the job...not naming names but some can't even handle an oil change properly!

 

What @machell said. Two dealers gave me a run around on it before I found one who 1) would even scope it, and 2) knew what they were looking at when they scoped it.

Mine was done at 26000 km it now has 45000 km. It is knocking again I brought it into the dealer. They scoped it and said same issue as before they said without talking to Nissan. I will be getting another new engine 2018 It Was done In 2020. Twenty thousand kilometers and it's done again.

 

Man, i hope this one is ok. Mine was replaced in december of 2020 and no issues. Hopefully your new one is as good as mine is

 

Mine is a 2017 and has 153000 km and started knocking I bought extended warranty it’s not Nissan warranty but they will only pay 13000$ of the 16000$ bill seem pretty steep for not being the complete engine
