Mike, I'll second Christina's request and say put it back together! LOL

Looks like It'll get some nice cold air... you may also need to get the depth of the sensor close to the OEM specs in order to get proper readings. I know location does/will play a role but I'm not sure on it's extent. Good luck!

I think there is too many curves =)...Plus with the 3.5" elbow, your only getting 3.5" of air, no need for the 4" piece IMO. I mean, the 4" to 3.5" COULD speed up the air, but it may turbulent air which would negate any gains. Plus with the OEM TB and manifold....well, you know. Just my advise though, put the MAF in there and get it data logged. No reason not to try it. Cipher will tell the tale

oh no man noooo!!!! lol you should just do the ram air mox in a closed intake box like s and b or aem or volant, he!! even in a stock airbox, anything than what you are trying to do.... im not trying to be a prick but that will make your intake air temperature skyrocket!!!!!! rule of thumb, the hotter the intake air temperature the lower your ignition timing gets... the ecu does that to prevent detonation aka knock. HAPPY MODDING!!!!!

thanks for the input guys...well update it works!!! lol for now...no codes no check enigine light yet...it had a pretty rough idle at first but the longer its on the better it gets....i dont wanna push my luck with having someone log it with uprev...but i went for a quick drive and it pulls alot harder then the k&n did...im doing a couple ecu resets also....i know that heat is an issue but there is no metal tubing at all on here so it wont get so much heat soak...im also thinking about get some heat tape or insulation tape to wrap it in....here are more pics

That looks pretty nice. I like that! Nice curves too. ;)

One thing I would do (and this is just my own idiosyncrocy) is to place Hose Clamps on, with teh Nut on bottom or back, so it is out of sight. It simply gives an even cleaner look to have just one layer of strap visable. Really, just a thing to do for "show". I love it when people take time to make their own stuff, and do such a nice job as this. Anyone can go buy an AEM.

What do you have palnned for the empty spot, where you Intake used to be?

If the seat of pants feels better, then that's really all that matters. Protect that filter and get it some cold air and insulate everything (if your not going for looks) and let 'er rip
Well i went for another drive it pulls like crazy....the rpms jump like a mofo..BUT!!!! it deff needs to be tuned....im more into power then looks for the most part but i want it to look nice too...
