Should I go with +25 or -6 wheel offset? (picture added)

Hey guys, just ordered new wheels and tires for my truck. It is a 07 4x4 with a 1 1/2" leveling kit.

I went with Nitto Terra Grappler A/T's in 295/70/17 and MB TKO wheels.

I thought I wanted the +25 offset on these wheels but the guys at Discount talked me into the -6 saying the tire won't stick out too far and said the +25 would look too far inside the wheel well. The tires are set to arrive in a few days so wanted to hear from you all and see what you thought on the offset before they are mounted and it's too late.

For reference below is my truck, sorry for the crappy picture (low light). I don't mind if the tires stick out a little but too much and it looks funky.

So what do you think I should go with, +25 or -6 offset, it's my only 2 options.

Thanks, I've seen some pictures of +25 offset on a titan with same size tires and it looks good but haven't seen any pictures with a -6 so no idea what to expect. I really don't want to do the PWM so I'm hoping it will clear, it looks like I have plenty of room and I already have a 32.6" tire and going to a 33.3, not too much bigger. Guess we'll see though!

Can't wait to see I'm about a week out from my wheels & tires hopefully... I'm thinking KO2 haven't settled on wheels.
Will probably go to discount as well.

its basically a stock offset vs a offset that i'm running. i went from a +25 to a -6 by adaptors. it changed the look so much. i've got pics on my album i think.

Truck looks good man, glad you got it all on. For sure -6, it will be a nice aggressive stance.

Thanks for your support.

The -6 will look great. Post some photos when you get them installed.

Also depends on the width of the wheel. I went with 18x9 +12 and wish I had gone with 0 or -12.

EDIT: 9" wide +12mm is the same backspacing as 8" wide +25mm, just for reference.

Thanks! That makes a lot more sense now, I'm confident the -6 was the right way to go, can't wait to get them on. Coming from a old F-150 I'm loving this Titan so far, loads of power for pulling my small 16' Toyhauler. My wife has a '06 Xterra Offroad Edition and its been great as well.

i thought a wider wheel gives you more offset. the extra .5 sticks out on either side....no?

It would if they were both the same offset.

8" wide wheel with 0 offset is 4" on each side of the hub.
9" wide wheel with 0 offset is 4.5" on each side.

8" wide with +25mm offset (1" basically) is 5" towards the engine, 3" towards the outside.
9" wide with +12mm offset (.5" basically) is 5" towards engine, 3" towards outside.

If he bought a 9" wide wheel with -6 offset that's roughly 4.25" towards the engine, 4.75" towards the outside. I think it'll look great with the setup he's talking about.

Alright, I got them mounted today and had about 2 min before dark so here is a quick picture. I really like the way they look and the -6 offset is great. Honestly I think they stick out just a liiiiitle bit more than I would like, but the +25 would certainly be way too far into the wheel well. I'm getting very very slight rubbing, maybe it will be fixed when I get the alignment, if not very minor trimming will happen, I did already remove the front flaps. They are rubbing near the pinch weld I believe but really need to look closer just haven't had the time yet.

Also, they received the wrong center caps, I wanted the smaller ones so I will be back in a few days when they get them in to have them swapped. I'll put a couple more pics once I get them on but overall I'm very happy with the look.

Maybe add a small fender flare if you think the stick out a little.

Looks good.

Yeah throw some Pro-4x flares on there and that'll make them seem tucked in just a tiny bit.
