Are you talking about trading your Dodge diesel for a Titan diesel or a gasser?
well considering in 2008 all nissan had was a gas titan...............

2008 and newer titans are pretty solid. You could get stuck with a huge POS cause it's a titan, but IMO it'd be a good move to the Titan.

My bad. You said 08 SE CC.If you want a more user friendly truck, then by all means get the T. I don't know what you haul, but unless you're a big time farmer the Titan should haul anything you need to. You won't go wrong buying a Titan.
Thank you for correcting me Honda CRX SI.

There are several variables that go into the decision. What type of shape are both vehicles in? Mileage on both? ACV of the diesel and cost of the desired Titan? You clearly realize you no longer need a "diesel" so that's a start. The Titan is a very capable truck, but coming from a diesel back to a gasser, will you be satisfied losing all that bottom end TQ and fuel MPG's?

Cummins has 150k...junk tailgate scratches down side and awful highway ride...was wreck last October 12k in damage and just hasn't been the same since....not too worried about the low end torque should not have any issues towing boat in flat florida...the 08 titan is very clean no big cosmetic issues...has 6 month warranty

If you get rid of the diesel Dodge and buy the Titan the first thing you'll notice is ride comfort. I'm sure you're tired of your butt leaving the seat when you hit a bump. The Titan steering requires a little effort but there is no other truck out here that has more feedback or road feel. It is the best handling truck on the market. IMO best truck period. I own a 10 2WD CC. ?

Just search on here about common problems and try to check them out if possible. Rear axle seals, differential seals, manifolds, etc. There's a thread on refreshing a first gen titan.

My '08 with headers, exhaust, and UpRev runs like a champ at almost 130k miles. Recently towed my uncle's Mastercraft X25 that was at least 6k pounds boat and trailer. Had to drop into 3rd for a couple hills here in TN cause it was 100 degrees outside, but never had any issues pulling it.

If it helps, I went from an F-250 gasser to my 2008 Titan 2WD (no need since I don't go mudding). My Titan can handle a payload of roughly 450 lbs on top of trailering 11,250 lbs that I probably shouldn't do, but it's not frequent.

Not once has my Titan let me down, she's sitting at 97K miles and the only thing I've done is two oil changes, some filters, and a steering alignment. Bear in mind, I started this truck at 33K miles.
IMO, if you haven't already, get that 2008 Gasser Titan and enjoy the ever living hell out of it!

It's a 342 ci...

He cut 2 out, just like I plan to bolt 30 on... after the High Performance Throttle body spacer install, and the extra LEDs (For higher MPG, of course) ...:ftard:

We got some real Einstein's out there. The VK56DE Titan engine is not 5.6 liters nor is it 340 cubic inches. Titan engine 101. Class is in session. The 5.6 is actually 5.552 liters. Did I blow your mind!?!? The actual cubic inch is 338.80. I'm sure your mind is blown now. It's the least I can do.
