I have been looking and trying to build but I can't figure out the difference other than diesel and gas what the difference is between the 3. thanks all.

The XD will be the same with the exception of towing/load capacities depending on configuration gas vs diesel. The regular Titan will have a slightly lower towing/load capacity from the XD. It's also smaller. The interior of all Titans is the same. The XD is beefier and heavier than the regular Titan.

Look at the specs of each truck. Also, the XD is not in the same class as the 1/2 ton Titan

No the XD(diesel or gas) and the Non Xd titan have different components but there are leveling kits are available for both

I was referring more to accessories, like the wheel well flares, liners, interior items, etc.

I believe those cosmetic accessories are the same....all of mine (floor liners, vent visors, hood protector) were ordered online and were for a "Titan XD".

EGR has different part numbers on Fender flares between XD and non-XD but I can't figure out what the difference is.

Also the frame is different between the XD and the non-XD so things like BullBars, aftermarket bumpers, tow hitches won't fit.

One nice thing is the mounting brackets for steps that mount to the cab is the same between the 17 and the 04-15 1st Gens, So if you want Step Bars, you can just buy any Titan step bars that mount to the cab (Haven't verified the ones that mount to the frame or the cab mount brackets) but you'll need extra bolts.
