Would anyone mind measuring the door moulding/trim that runs along the sides of the doors about 3/4 of the way down? (I'm talking about the trim that the XE trucks lack)

Actually I only need to know the width of it (not the length).

I'm looking at buying some of the trim that someone sells on Ebay (it is advertised as chrome but it comes in black also) and getting it painted to match my truck, but in the pictures it just doesn't look as wide as the stock trim, but it may just look different since it is chrome.

Are you looking at those chromed covers for it? It's about 2 3/4" wide. The covers only cover the top and about 1/2 of the bottom side, if that's what you are looking for.

It says they also come in black, so I was going to get them and get them painted to match my truck. It also says "These moldings are for Titans without factory moldings."

However, I had emailed the guy and he said the ones he sells are 2" wide, so if the stock ones really are 2 3/4" wide, then I was right in thinking they looked skinnier than the stock ones.

Basically I'm trying to get the mouldings on my truck without paying the $250 or whatever for the stock ones that I then would have to drill holes in my doors to put on.

Yeah, these are thinner than stock. I looked at those at one point to replace the body colored ones on my truck but didn't care for the thin appearance.

Can't you get them through a body shop for less?

Well damn that sucks. I was hoping it was just the chrome and maybe a poor picture that made them look thinner.

The only place I have seen the stock ones for sale are at Courtesy Parts online and they are over $200, then you have to drill holes in the doors to put them on (like they do from the factory).

Well, since you would be correct if you assumed that, I went out and measured it..... it's exactly 3 1/8".
