Hello, I finally got around to uploading my first video's from the new canon powershot to youtube. This was filmed on march 6th,2009 at Midnight mayhem.
I was trying to run it as low as possible on fuel since everything else I left stock(spare on, mirrors out etc etc) I even left the girlfriend in to do the filming.
I hope everyone enjoys the video's and our words as I run out of gas etc. (what a sick feeling cuz I turned off the rev limiter)
It was the GF's first time to a dragstrip.
Oh, I was running a brand new rear end. The whole night I thought why don't I see my left rear burning? I was even lining it up right over the last guys mark. Little did I know that I now have a 2009 rearend on my 2005 LE that spins the right rear. That explains the spinning and chirping I heard and felt at each launch. I only had 26lbs in the left rear all night. It was pretty dead out there after 9pm so I ran about 10 times one after the other with no cool down time.

man, everyone noticed that but me. I used that video to sell my bike recently. It sold in one day after posting on craigslist. I guess I should've raised the price(got 7100).
I don't know who that guy was but it would've been real cool if he fell out.:bump:

Too bad you could make it out last Friday. Not that many people there. First run I lined up with a Mustang GT who of coarse smoked me, second run was a great match up. I was me and a Grand Cherokee V8 and he took me off the line, probably because I still have a WOT restrictor, but I killed him by about 1.5-2 seconds in the 1/4. It was a good time but I was the only T out there. Damn I need a programmer!

I was bored so I said eff it and ran. I am getting my reaction times down. Cut them in half. The funny thing is I am adding weight with step bars and brush guards but not adding H/P. LOL! I did run a little faster than the last time we went because I got rid of the Banks and went with the Bullet so I got some noticable bottom end torque back. I really need to get CAI and a programmer and the rig will do much better. But you know how it is, a 2 mouth old baby is definitely not free or cheap by any means!

thanks. yep that's exactly what it was. I talked to the guy a few seconds before the run. He seemed worried but at the same time happy cuz he just bought it. Now I'm going to be messing with the video to see if it was a cayman or a cayman S. 50k plus for one of those. 22k for mine back in 07.
The titan torque raises eyebrows:eyebrow: anywhere for the first 100ft or so... then the dreaded horsepower to weight ratio comes in to play along with aerodynamics after 600ft:flamed:
If gas prices :fu: don't stop me first I want to put some more money into it.

Whats the difference between a Cayman and a Cayman S?

according to the internet. cayman s is 60k compared to 50k. cayman s 320hp and cayman 265hp.
It weighs about 3k lbs. The hp is from a v6 @7200rpm naturally aspirated. Like I said it beat me and is one sweet ride but it was a fun run in a big old 2005 titan.

funny you ask I was admiring your mods and times earlier..
I just went through my stuff and I can't find my fasted time slip.. it was 15.1 the track is @1960ft. I thought I would go faster in march but I only ran a 15.2 with the girlfriend in the truck.
my fastest 1/8 was 9.7 @71mph but the 1/4 time was 15.3 go figure?
man that intake TB is sweet!

I spin and chirp at every launch and now I have 2009 rearend so trutrac is not available.
Here's a link to my dyno #'s which show I should be faster but the altitude is killing me out here! You know I think your 1/8 mile in cali is also high though.:bangit:

yep and just about every sports car out there that should've been in the 12's( as the internet or magazines state ) but they weren't.
Actually like I said I talked to the guy before the run and he has a chevy diesal that he runs 14's in.

Dont take it the wrong way at all..no offense..I love my truck too. its the best one ever built cause its mine..lol but facts are facts. And no i didnt read that in a magazine, i have an uncle who has had a carrera and now a 911..he is huge into the porsche world like we are in the titan. So with that said the cayman stock is a 13 sec car,its a fact..so to my comment, it was the DRIVER.

Trust me i would love to see one of our trucks in the 13 flat to high 12's and suck the doors of a cayman...:eyebrow:

very cool. I have always been impressed with the horsepower of foreign cars out straight sixes like the NSX etc. Nissan has really stepped up their v6 and I was blown away with the chevy camero numbers(about time).
I'm trying to talk a friend into taking his BMWM5 out to the strip. If he does I will film it and post it up. As you know its a v10 sedan and after riding in it I want to do whatever I have to do to own one someday.
