So I need new tires...

So I have a 2005 Titan 4x4 and I stopped by 4 wheel parts today and I was talking to one of the guys about tires. I was looking at a 285/65r18. He tells me I can go with a 305/60r18 and it should be good. He said I might have a little rub but only at full turn and even then not much. Is this true?

Or should I just go with the 285/65 that I was looking at?

Yes. No problem on stock rims. Many even run the LT325/60R18 on stock 18's, most with a leveling kit though.
What tires are u looking at?
I run BFG AT KO 325/60's with a 2" level kit and they don't rub
