Did you get them from x3racing? If so, call them. They are pretty slow with email, but were very helpful to me on the phone. I recieved 1 broken and did mail them both back at my expense. Oddly, that was the fastest part of the deal-they sent the new ones out the same day they recieved mine!

As for the resistor, I'm not sure. The part that you put on with dble sided tape is the a flasher, but probably has the resistor built into it. I wouldn't try to go the route of replacing a resistor on that light, and chances are the seller won't deal with it either. Just go for a new light or set of lights.
