Some mods with CATs

Couple days ago I ran into problem that my truck mad some weird noises and was loosing almost all power above 3000rpm.

My first thought was fuel filter, but titan happened to have none. Also on my way service which is not that far away, I spent 1/4 of my gas tank, when usually this sort of a trip does not affect fuel-meter visually.

Now I had arived to service, and computer check showed that I had problems with cats. Guys took cats off ( for some reason I had 4 ) One cat was broken inside and that went right after it was cluttered with stuff that that felt of the first one. Service guys told me I need to order new cats and that it would take 2-3 weeks. And then it came to me - stillen long tubes completely remove cats - so I told them to clean everything out of those cats (all 4 of them). After about 20 minutes they put everything together and..... God, does that sound LOUD. The problem with loosing power went away, and now I can say that I literally have the loudest car on the streets. My cats were cluttering with bad gas here in Russia, and I slowly got used to my truck becoming slower and slower everyday. Now I feel like driving a Ferrari. The "people always look at me when I drive" - factor came back. Good that we don't have any laws that require to have cats.

It's a good thing you caught it early before the stuffs get suck back into the engine.
Now the only worry I have is, that with cats completely emptied out, would I have some pipe overheating?
No overheating. You might get a check engine light though.

Well, with Russian gas I got check engine the moment I crossed the border with Finland =). So cats is a big no for me, as they got cluttered here within less them a year of driving.

By any chance is the gas there leaded?
You may end up cooking your muffler with no cats but I'm glad you've got your power back.
I remember reading a story about Mayhem taking out all the cats and made a significant amount of power.
The rest of your exaust system will be fine. Probably have lower overall temperature without the cats functioning...there is a reason for all of that heat shielding around them. The reason there was 4 of them is because the first two are pre-cats which are designed to heat up quickly to get the main catalytic converters working ASAP. Virtually all vehicles built in the last several years of so have similar setups.
