Some small things I've found that I like

I noticed the other day that the Titan has drain slots in the bed rather than two drain holes in the corners like my GMC had. I like the slots much better. The slots are next to the cab and on each side of the wheels. The two drain holes on my GMC would constantly clog with dirt, sticks, grass, acorns, etc. and cause the bed of my truck to hold water. I would have to get my hands dirty to unclog the clog and then put my stuff into a damp bed. I crawled underneath my Titan with water flowing to take some digital pictures but my $1,100 digital camera was getting wet and I was getting cold. :crying:

Another small thing I like is that the rear cupholders on Titans with the center console are accessible to the front seat occupants. I realized this the other day when my wife and I went through the drive-thru at a burger joint and realized that we had left two cups in the front cupholders from the previous day. All we had to do was move the half-filled, dirty cups from the previous day to the rear cupholders - problem solved!

The last small thing I like are the flip-up covers on the interior 12v outlets on the dash. They flip up out of the way, unlike the flimsy covers on my GMC which dangled in the way of everything that I'd try to plug in.

I was happy to learn from here that I could roll down the front windows by holding down the "open" button on the key fob. The manual didn't cover that.

WOW! I just had to go out into the garage and try that...that's freakin cool! I never would've known about that otherwise...just what else does our wonder truck do that we're not aware of?

Found something new...

Did a lot of hauling over the weekend: some dirt, cedar chips, pea gravel, etc. Today I washed my truck and blew all the crap out of the bed. To my surprise, I discovered the Titan bed has drains in front. My other pickups all had bedliners, so when I blew them out, I always had to park them on an angle with the back lower than the front to get them to drain. :grunge: Seems like a little thing, I know, but I like it. I know that this isn't unique to the Titan, but it sure is unique to me!

By the way, even with a good size load of dirt, the truck had plenty of power. Hauled strong, cornered well and stopped fine. Never felt like it was working hard, at all, and I always felt like I had control of the truck instead of it having control of me. And best of all, I got all the hauling done without a scratch. Very cool. :rockon

I think the only thing I've seen where it states anything about the courtesy down feature for the windows is in a brochure. As Amati5 stated before I don't think the manual mentions it.

I had a BMW that did the same thing... roll ALL the windows down and close them up using the driver's door keylock. I just haven't figured out why Nissan didn't do the same on the CC... instead of just the front doors.

You can get a window modulator from Directed Electronics in Vista, CA. model number used to be DEI530T (four or five years back). Best Buy installs them on most of their alarms, so I imagine your local electronics outlet would install onto the factory system.
This modulater will control two windows, you can buy two of them and also be able to close/open the sun roof in the same automated manner too. They add auto-up and auto-down feature to the inside control buttons too. I think the Titans just have auto-down on the two front windows, right?
I found the "one touch UP" feature on the front windows today...never seen that in the manual. :futwice:
