Someone hit my truck!!!!

748 Views 10 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  carver1titan4x4
Someone hit the front passenger side of my truck. No dent just scratched some of the paint off. Probably about 8 inches high and about an inch wide. Looks like a white car hit it. Is there any kind of touch up paint or wax I should use to fix it? What would be the best thing to do?

See what you can rub out first. Use a scratch remover like Meguiar's Scratch-X.

Hopefully it's not through the paint and down to the metal and no dents. If the paint is gone go get some touch up paint that matches the color code of your vehicle. It will take some work to make it look good, good luck.
Thanks for the advice
Find out who did it and rub some of their blood on your Titan. It will not fix the scratch, but it will make your Titan fell better. :evillaugh
I wish I knew who did it... People don't have enough courtesy to leave a note.
Somebody bashed my car trailer while it was parked on the street a few months ago. Two weeks later, somebody came to my door and owned up to it and paid for the damage. I was shocked.
Maybe you will get some good luck too.

It's good to know that there are still some respectable people out there.

like me..

can you believe as a teenager (17yr) i hit a car in a parking lot and left him/her a note to call me and i would pay for the damages
and i did...

i think me and that guy are the only two people in the world who have ever done that kinda thing (not really)

no thanks or prize is needed, just doing the right thing is what is needed
if i sound bitter, well i am
my truck was hit and the anus breath didnt leave a note

i hope he gets a major case of penis rot
and passes it off to his boyfriend too

An area 8" high and 1" wide sounds a little too big for just touchup paint. I'd contact one of those guys that do light paint work for car dealers. You can usually see them working out of their vans/trucks fixing up the used cars on the lot. Strike up a conversation with one of them and see how much they'd charge to fix your bumper. They might even do it right there on site for a nominal fee.
My wifes Xtera was hit about a year and a half ago. It looked like total crap!!!

I took it to my local body man (who I have drank a few beers with) to see what the damage was. He wiped the damaged spot with a little paint thinner. Wow it made a world of difference. In fact no paint was scratched off of her truck. He referred me to a paintless dent repair guy and what I thought was a $300 job was just $50 to fix!! Good luck on your little scar!
yeah i think he is right that is a little big for just touch up paint i would prob. try and find a decent body guy and just have it repainted and blended you will def.. be happier in the long run
