No sunroofs just yet. But I keep hearing it's possible for the future. I was under the impression towing mirrors came with the towing pkg.?
They usually do, but what I can tell, it doesn't seem like it on the Platinum model. No sunroofs just yet. But I keep hearing it's possible for the future. I was under the impression towing mirrors came with the towing pkg.?
I'll have to look closer at the Platinum's. I know my local dealer has SL models with the "big tow" mirrors. Go figure. So far every half ton I have looked at only seems to have regular mirrors in the platinum,. Doesn't look like it's an option sadly. The XD does have them though. Wonder what the deal is with that.
Off subject, What's your thoughts on ownership of your 14 Platinum Yota?I just took a test drive the other night with an SV model ... it was 4wd with no tow package, no leather, no back-up camera, no spray-in bedliner, no bedliner lights, no heated/cool seats, no center console. I'm telling you, besides the carpet, this was an "S" model and the stealer wanted over 50k lmao ...umm thanks but no thanks.
The S model I did go to look at had sold with msrp of 35k, granted it was 2wd, I wonder how much it sold for?!! Strange not every model has at least a tow pkg and backup camera.
They told me since it's a 2017, they will only deal from MSRP.
FWIW the updated Titan is nice and drove well but it's not made of gold. The huge V-8 badge is also not as bad looking in person. (still prefer S with rubber floor, and no badge .. but every truck should have tow pkg regardless if you never tow, it's a truck and if I had to rent a trailer to move sometime I'd be outta luck.
I am almost positive they will discount them like they are doing the XDs now. Like 12-14k off. Which puts a Platinum into 38-40k range.I just took a test drive the other night with an SV model ... it was 4wd with no tow package, no leather, no back-up camera, no spray-in bedliner, no bedliner lights, no heated/cool seats, no center console. The 2016 XD diesel's are doing on average 11/13k off MSRP. The 2017 XD Gasser's are around $8500 off. The 2017 1/2 ton Titan is discounted $6k. The better deals in dollar's and cents, are on the 2016 diesels. For two reasons.... the diesel's aren't selling and the 2017's are sitting along side them on dealer lots.I am almost positive they will discount them like they are doing the XDs now. That sounds about right, so an S model with 4wd and tow package should be around 30k before taxes. And a 2wd model around 28k ...both would be considered great deals in my mind. The 2016 XD diesel's are doing on average 11/13k off MSRP. The 2017 XD Gasser's are around $8500 off.
