Well, the local parts department finally got the splash guards in for the Titan today. Before they ordered them, the parts book said they would only fit models made after 12/15/03 but we thought we would give them a try and see. We couldn't imagine that much would change in one production month. Net...I went down and sure enough they don't fit on mine since it was a Nov production run. The front flaps fit but the rears are different, particularly on the access door side where they appear to have been fabricated completely different.

Bum deal...:crying:

splash guards

I know you probably heard this, but just in case. There are two different sets of splashguards available for the rear. One for the regular bed package and one for the utility bed package. Sorry if this didn't help.

You know...I did know that but now that I think of it the parts guy may have grabbed the wrong guard for the access panel side as he had both sets for that very reason. I'll have to go back tomorrow and double check. All of the holes didn't quite match up on the rear passengers side either but I think they could work if the access panel side fit better.

Went back today to double check and I think they will work after all. The parts guy must have grabbed the wrong mud flap for the access panel side. I'll be putting them on this weekend (hopefully).

So what happened?

I also have a pre Dec. 15 production and I would like to put the splashguards on but won't unless you were able to get yours to work.

Any updates Karl?

Anyone else dealing with this issue?

Many thanks,

I was able to put them on with no problem...however (everyone's going to think I'm crazy), after I put them on I didn't like the look on mine so I took them off.

No I don't think you're crazy, I was wondering the same thing myself. :jester:

Were they hard to put on?

Did they use the tape other threads have mentioned as being a problem?

What's up with the pre 12/15 warning anyhow?

Thanks Karl!

Got them and did the install. The rear set comes with an additional page of instructions for pre Dec trucks. Only problem was stripping one of the screws under the fender well. Ordered two, one for each side.
