Give Zymol a try. It lasts for about 3-4 months, depending on where you are, it goes on real easy, shines up real nice. You'll be done in just a little longer than it takes you to do a really good wash and chamois. Best advantage to it is that it fills scratches so it looks very nice on dark finishes.Doghouse said:

Note that here they're selling their whole kit to Beemer drivers. You can get just the wax for about 12 bux at a good auto parts store. In my area, NAPA carries it.
I did detailing in a previous life, would have sworn by paste waxes, or my personal combination of the canned heavy carnuba and a spreading agent. But they were murder to get on and off and to get to the proper level of shine without an air-powered buffer.
