My 2004 titan had a dead battery (been sitting in the garage for about a month) I put a battery charger on it and a few minutes later, it started and sounded funny...I turned it off and when I turned the key back on, it restarted without turning the key to "start"

The starter is cranking when the key gets to the "on" position without going all the way to the "start" position.

I pulled the starter relay and swapped it with a similar relay for the heated mirrors and it still cranks when I turn the key on.

I see many posts about the starter not working, but none about the starter being stuck on....any help?

I'd start with the solenoid. Might be hung up. Sometimes you can whack it with a hammer and it'll release, but it'll probably hang up again so you should replace it anyway. If that's not it, it might be the key switch has a short. Pull the fuse to the starter, then check to see if it continues. If not, check for voltage on one side of the that fuse holder. If there's voltage there without the key being in the "start" position, then that would indicate that your start switch is probably hosed. My money is on the solenoid as they do some weird shiz when they go south.
