Starting my VK56DE Rebuild. Any Advice?

Hello all!

I prepped my titan yesterday and I am getting started on the removal of the engine tomorrow. This will not be my first teardown and rebuild of a V8 but it will be my first with any Nissan. For those of you who have been through it, do you have any tips for me?

Anything is appreciated. Thanks!

2006 LE CC with 216000 miles on it.

216000 is nothing. Why rebuild?

A few reasons.

I bought it with 216 on it and the last owner did ZERO maintenance and abused it. I want to start towing with it and taking it on long trips. Just can't really trust it without going through it and making sure everything is good.

Secondly, I make YouTube instructional videos on automotive repair and I thought it would be a good video series.

I'd be more worried about your rear axle vs. the engine. 216k is nothing on that engine.

Going to add any go-fast parts? Cam, thinner head gaskets or deck the block, etc...?

I wasn't planning on it. I have it torn apart right now and I'm buying parts for it. I modded my Mustang and it got out of hand really fast lol.
