has anyone had to replace this? mine is just starting to act up a bit. sometimes it doesn't respond to input. after almost 10 years of changing channels and turning the volume up and down, she's getting tired i guess. any ideas on where i could find a replacement?

Dealers sell them... or you can try one of the online Nissan parts places.

They're not that expensive... maybe $100-120...

You may need to buy them separately for $60 -65 or so...

Or you could try an auto salvage yard, but in my experience, those bozos just want to sell you the whole truck carcass for $7000 or something stupid...

I had them done when I did my audio install... it's the "Mystery Mod" in my sig...

Basically, you need to unhook your battery for 10 or 15 minutes so you can remove the steering wheel airbag... I'm not sure if they screw in from the back of the touchpads... I think they do. Just unscrew them, unplug, plug new ones in, and put the airbag back on...

Not a major project.

Good thread... that's the deal!

I didn't remember at first that the wheel needed to come off... but reviewing that thread, it does.

And now I recall that mine came off so easily without a puller that Tech12volt was actually surprised and almost smacked himself in the chin with it cuz he was expecting great resistance... :lol:
