I have the basic six disc changer in my SE Crew Cab, and would like to know if the Aux. Jack in the lower dash would play the sound of a portable cd player if I had a patch cord that went from the cd player to the aux. connection? I know that the SE has headphone transmitters for cordless headphones, but I would like for my kids to hear a movie if the opportunity arises. Does anyone know, or have tried this?

The Aux plug there will accept an audio input with a Mini-Din plug....

MP3 players, CD players, etc...

There is a loudness difference though between that and the CD playback volume.

Chris
So you are saying that if I get the right adaptors, that I could broadcast a mobile dvd players sound into the truck's stereo systems speakers? If they are going through the stereo system, then the it would broadcast to cordless headsets, and therefore, the wife I could have peace and quiet?

Yup.. you got it. Just go to radio shack and tell them you need a headphone plug to headphone plug wire.. unless your DVD has RCA outs, then you need RCA to headphone... simple! :)
How's your radio? I noticed that it has a tendency to change to a lower volume as the noise in the cabin gets softer (like it's supposed to), but will not recover to the louder volume as the noise from accelerating gets louder. You have the same problem?
