This may be better suited for the tech talk forum but I'll give it a shot here because it's sort of general and not tech specific.

I've been researching a supercharger and exhaust for my 2011 Titan. I've read tons about the Stillen supercharger available and on their site they recommend their long headers as well with the supercharger. I went online the other day to make the purchase and both products are off their website. I inquired with them as to why and this is the response I received today:

"Both of those products have been discontinued. The supercharger unit was manufactured by Eaton and we did all of the manufacturing of the intake manifold, inlet etc. Because Eaton discontinued the actual pump we were forced to discontinue the rest of the kit also."

BUMMER!

So my resulting question now is, is there anyone else making a turbo or supercharger kit for Titans?

It's saving you from a major headache, anyways. Plenty of fast factory designed vehicles on the market.

There are some who would say that the Stillen supercharger should have been discontinued before it was even offered.

Well, general consensus seems to be don't do it. I guess that's an option too.

I love my Titan, I'd rather make it faster than spending money on a new/different truck.... I'm sure there are ways to have forced induction AND reliability but maybe I'm dreaming?

Just looking to have fun with my Titan but if it's a dumb idea and will just be a headache rather than enjoyable then I guess it's just a dumb idea.

For that price, you could buy another used Titan already clapped out and repower with another powerplant more easily outfitted with forced induction. Depends on how big your wallet is I suppose.

There are also plenty of NA Titans with cams, exhaust and bolt ons that are faster than supercharged Titans. The Titan pistons and rod bearings are known failure points under boost so unless you plan on upgrading engine internals dont do it. Also the tuning can be a major issue, there are few out there that can get it right. Dont see many SC Titans out there because there's a reason.
