Hi, the 2005 LE I just bought has come with a superchip reader. Just wondering....is it a good idea to play with the engine programming??
I will be towing 7000lbs to alaska soon and wondering if it would be good to programme to "heavy tow mode."
Does it programme the transmission too??
Any thought will be greatly appreciated.

It does not program the transmission. It will not really do anything if you are pulling 7k lb. You are better keeping a stock tune. Trust me. Cortex Is a HP booster which you DO NOT want to do on a heavy haul.
