I've done some searching and most of the threads seem pretty old. Any new and relevant information for lowering a 4x4? Will I run into issues with any of the 4wd system?

I currently have 5100s and 08+ springs up front, but I don't really need a lifted truck and kind of want to do something different. I've been looking at the 5" rear drop that PRG sells, and then probably doing the Bio Kustoms spindles. Anyone here with a 4x4 have this combo? Can you post pictures? On the spindles, should I go with the 2" or 3"?

I know people will probably ask why drop a 4x4, and my answer is because it's what I want to do. Please keep the flaming to a minimum.

It should be the same as lowering a 2wd.

Everyone has their suspension choices.

I know Belltech has an option for springs and front shock at which they will not provide any info unless purchased. I've also worked with Radflo to build a coilover but i don't have specs to give them. Rears has adjustable 2" shackles but will only give 1" at the most, I don't recommend to remove the 3rd leaf as most guys do, it softens the springs and you'll bounce on the bump stops and hate the ride. Someone makes a flip kit but i haven't researched it enough. I hope this give you some where to start. Please update us on your plans. Thanks!

It seems that RPG and Belltech both sell a flip kit. Belltech's website doesn't show that it is compatible with a 4x4, but it's been used before on a 4x4 and I think the rears are setup pretty much the same in 2wd or 4wd trucks. For the front, I'm planning to go with the Bio Kustoms drop spindles currently. I have Bilstein 5100's right now with the 08+ Moog springs. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to change out the springs or not. I'll for sure drop the 5100's to the lowest notch though.
