So this morning on my way to work I could a grinding noise thought it was odd. I look in the rear view mirror and the vehicles behind me are a good 300ft back and there's sparks just flying. I pull off to the side of the road and look under the truck. My rear exhaust pipe from the muffler back is literally wrapped around my rear axle and dragging on the ground. I pulled the exhaust out tossed it in the box and continued on my way.
I get home tonight and with a little searing I find it super common on the titans. Only difference with mine is it snapped at the muffler and not at the clap. I have a magnoflow muffler and it's sticking straight out and not pointing up. I drove about 30 miles like this and its another 15 miles to the muffler shop. Should I be worried about melting wires like others said happened with their failures?
Also instead of running the exhaust the same as stock again would it be a bright idea to turn it right at the muffler and exhaust out infront of the tire instead of behind the tire?
