Please let us know, I'm trying to justify buying one atm and if I can constantly get better mileage if only 1-1.5mpg its worth it to me.
I dont know because I think in order to do the WOT the tuner has to be married to the truck but im not sure. I know there is some way to do the 2* timing advance on a dif truck but not sure how either on that lol good luckI have a dumb question. Can a BDGT or Pup be used on more then one Titan, or does the unit have to stay with the vehicle? Could someone borrow the BD from another Titan owner to remove the WOT restriction, then give the BD back?
I actually used the driving coach with the BDGT alot for the heck of it. You're right, 1800 RPM's seems to be about the sweet spot for mileage...what surprised me was how bad the MPG got when you had to brake fast. I tried a whole tank of gas strictly using the driving coach and got about 50 miles more on that tank.early reports are in!
There is a noticeable difference in performance and power. Without the tune I had (which included WOT OFF and 2* timing advance) and by adding the fuel saving throttle sensitivity, I noticed that my truck is now officially a 4 cylinder grandma car and I love it! HOWEVER....these noticeable differences have not yet translated into better MPGs. I keep my BDGT on at all times while driving so I can monitor my real time MPG and I noticed that it still isnt that great because alot of my driving is city and so I am always accelerating and slowing. I have learned that the only way to get better MPGs in our trucks is to coast as much as possible and stay in high gear or under 1900 RPMs.
Hope the update helps and I will have more info soon!
No, if you want to use a programmer on another vehicle, the previous one that it was "paired" to must be "de-programmed". The exception is the 2* advance, you can do that on any vehicle.I have a dumb question. Can a BDGT or Pup be used on more then one Titan, or does the unit have to stay with the vehicle? can 04's not have a bdgt?? I have an 04 and I was about to buy a bdgt...Due to having an 04, I don't have the luxury of the BDGT. However, I did notice that with the superchips cortex, my mpg's did improve drastically (about 3-4 ish mpg's). I can only assume that the BD is the same way.
Only 05-11.can 04's not have a bdgt?? I have an 04 and I was about to buy a bdgt...
wow that blows! so what's the best programmer for a 2004?Only 05-11.
You can still have someone do the 2* timing advance on your 2004. I have done it to one of the fellow Utah Titans. The only thing is that the BDGT comes with a file for nissan/infiniti 05-07 and one for 08-11. If you wish to do the 2* advance on a 2008 and you have a 2006 then you need to set your truck back to stock tune because the BDGT wont read on the 2008 with the 05-07 file. I found this out the other day when doing the timing advance on a 2008 T out here, my truck is a 2005. You just set your truck back to the stock tune then select 08-11 nissan/infiniti when you hook it up to the newer truck... when you are done you change the vehicle back to 05-07 and install a new tune on your truckcan 04's not have a bdgt??
