I'm thrilled to be a part of the TT community. The wealth of information on here has made me leaps and bounds more confident that I just MIGHT fall apart before my truck does.
Just being able to communicate daily with people who have no qualms about taking a perfectly good pickup, spending hundreds of dollars, and/or hundreds of hours, tearing it apart and changing something that worked already just to make it THEIR OWN and set it apart from the rest is a great experience.

Equally as enjoyable is talking to the new people that just want to save a buck on repairs (I was raised a cheap bastard and hope to pass that to my kids) or who have NO CLUE about anything mechanical ( As I did not too many years ago) as they seek to better their knowledge and skill-set while feeling the pride of ownership and independence.

I hadn't planned on entering for several years yet, but the category defines the use I put my T through daily and I couldn't resist.

"What good is a truck if it doesn't earn it's own keep?" Got me through the heartache of my first paint-scratch on a fishing trip, and the two months when my T was in the body-shop after a water truck shredded the passenger side on the way to work.
