I did a search for this but everyone else's ticking noise is different than mine.

It doesn't matter if the engine is hot or cold, it ticks. It only ticks when I am in drive though. If it put it in reverse it doesn't tick. As I go faster, ticks faster. If I go slower it ticks slower. The tick goes away at about 25 mpg because the tick is so fast at that speed I can't hear it probably. I can't detect exactly where it is ticking, but it sounds like it is under the drivers seat or a little infront or behind it.

Help!

i have a tick also, i first noticed it when I would drive by a parked car on my street at a very slow speed. I could hear the ticking bouncing off of the car as I drove by. I can barely hear it with the windows up and the radio off also. I jacked the front end of my truck up and spun one wheel at a time to make sure it wasn't the hub on one side or the other. Mine is definitely in the front diff or possibly the front u-joint. I'm dreading taking it to the stealership.

A mechanic drove it this morning and said it is coming from the drive shaft. He pointed out that he can hear a click noise when he put it into gear. I'm going to get it on a lift soon so they can take a look at it.
