Just finished up a rather "fun" project. Removed a fabtech 6" lift from an 06 SE and put it on an 09 SE (mine). For the most part everything went pretty smooth. As an added bonus, I went ahead and installed Bilstein 5125s on the rear, and 5100s up front while doing the lift. Also added in a PRG UCA as well as a drivespacer and end links from PRG as well. Truck rides amazing compared to the stock shocks, however, my tie rods are super SUPER close to the bottom of the coils springs in the strut assembly. There's certainly some rubbing on the drivers side based on the scratch marks I can see on the spring, and on the passenger side it seems to be clear, but still too close for my comfort..maybe a pinky's width. I'm not really sure what can be done to correct this. Anyone else run into this or know of a case where this occurred? Would love to find a solution. Will post some photos later.

Did you swap sides with the tie rods when you put them back on? Or leave them on the sides that they originally came off of? Sometimes with lifts you need to put the right tie rod on the left side and the left side tie rod on the right side. Should give you the clearance that you need.

This step was skipped..for now. The swap is mainly to keep bring the tie rods away from the inside of the wheel since the angle changes when you flip the tie rod around to go into the new spindles. We are running 2 inch wheel spacers, so no real need to do that. I'll have to get some photos up of what I'm looking at. To be honest, doing the swap may angle the tie rods even closer.

Giving this thread a bump to see if anyone has some input on what to do. I am aware that my tie rod ends are not currently flipped per the lift instructions, but from what I can see, it aint gonna make a difference in terms of contact with the coils. I've seen some of the heimed outer tie rod ends..would those work on the fabtech spindles?

That's just how it is. Like you said, there is a minimal amount of clearance, but there is clearance. I was concerned when I saw mine like that too but have had no issues.

Are your pictures shown with the wheels turned? The angle of rods will change some and make the clearance even less.

I have the PRG heims on my truck and it seemed like it gave me more clearance but I do not have a lift, just extended coilovers.

The photos are with the wheels straight. It gets worse when I turn. Judging by the scratch marks on the coils, there's some contact when turning. I've also noticed when turning and hitting bumps, I can hear a "rat tat tat". I can only assume I'm hearing that contact.

did you orient the shocks correctly? theres a certain direction the bottom spring mount is supposed to face.
you should swap the tie rods, it might be the issue.
