Every time I drive my truck I get compliments from someone saying "Nice Truck"
Man, I must be doing something wrong. The only comments I get are “your truck is gay”.

Gets a chuckle out of me, but c’mon man. The ‘04 is old enough to vote now.

The Gen 1 trucks look so different. They really stood out in the looks department and how much stuff they came with. They are still a great looking truck compared to lots of stuff on the road
My first Titan was a 2005 LE crew cab, what a great truck.

Here in south Texas it’s “man that truck is nice and if it had Ford badging on it I would buy one”….

My wife's family was all f150s but they liked the titan when they rode in it. They all upgraded their trucks to king ranch 250s except one and his was already a king ranch with the platinum stuff so he said he is keeping it since he is already 75.

Those are people that have a closed mind and can’t think for themselves. My son in law has a F-350, 450 and 550 as his company trucks along with his two Peterbilt’s but has driven in mine from NJ to Florida and back and said what a great truck! He said if he could use a gasoline pickup he’d buy one. So people just missed the boat it appears.

We truly wish the OP well. Hope things work out. Salvage titles aren't necessarily a death nail. Just not popular choices. There was no judgment. Just solicited opinions.

@Curran11 If you are still here, let us know what you decided. Post some pics if you bought it.

Yeah. My username is indicative of several past vehicles I purchased. One of them was a RAM50 truck. The goal with it was to “turn an ugly duckling into a Swan.” I paid $750 for it and drove it for 5 years.

And one motorcycle I owned had a clean title, but it was plagued with electrical issues. I ended up selling it to someone with more technical savvy.

In hindsight my earlier post seems a bit jaded. As someone else noted, the reason for the salvage designation is critical. It could be the OP struck a good deal.
