Hey all. New to the sight, first post. I have a '08 CrewCab Short Bed and have a question about Camper Shells. I would like to get a Camper Shell for my truck, don't want to shell out for a new one. My question: does anyone know what camper shells are compatilble from one Manufacture/Model to another. I want to search craigslist for a used one, if there is one shell that is compatible from lets say Chevy Silverado to Titan, my searching power will be broader. Thanks for your time

I had the same questions and have been told by a topper dealer that the problem is with the rear door. The Titans have a unique tailgate in that it flares out around where the lock is. No other manufacturer has that so therefore it won't fit right on the Titan. It leaves large gaps and won't seal.
If you order a door to fit the Titan, you probably negate any savings you had buying another model topper. That's not to say the the rest of the topper would fit right either. Not sure about that.
I can say that when my buddy switched out his bedliner on his early 2000 Silverado and bedlined it, I took his bedliner and use it to further protect my bed when hauling stone or firewood. It fits great.
